Scam · pretends to be Mobilly (parking payment service)
Fake Mobilly unpaid parking fine email
The real message, with personal details covered.
What happens
Scammers email people pretending to be the Mobilly parking service, saying an unpaid parking fine was registered and threatening debt collection. The button leads to a fake page that steals card or login details.
Warning signs
- Wrong sender address The email comes from a Finnish address (kolumbus.fi) with random numbers, not from Mobilly's own website name.
- Threat of debt collection It warns the fine will be sent for collection if you don't act, to scare you into clicking.
- Button to click It pushes you to press a button to 'view the fine receipt' instead of giving real details.
- Vague, no details It gives no car number, street or amount, just a time, so it could be sent to anyone.
- Odd date The fine is dated 06.10.2026 at 09:45, but the email arrived on Oct 10, so the date does not fit.
- Generic greeting It says only 'Labdien!' and does not use your name or car plate.
How this scam works
- Criminals send many emails that look like parking or fine notices from a known company.
- The email says you have an unpaid fine and threatens collection to make you rush.
- The button leads to a fake page that looks like the real company.
- There you are asked to log in or enter card details to 'pay' the fine.
- The criminals steal your card or login details and take money from your account.
What to do
- Don't press the orange button, and don't reply or enter any details or card numbers.
- Take a screenshot to keep as proof.
- Report it to Mobilly through their official app or website, and to the local police.
- Tell your family and friends so they don't fall for the same email.
